Donation Requests
Thank you for your interest in Salvagetti Bicycle Workshop being a part of your organization’s money raising event. We have rules that we follow to decide who we can help out. We do wish that we could help everyone, but the truth is that we have to be careful, so that we can continue to support the community that supports us for many years to come. Here are some things to consider before you fill out the form below:
HOW WELL DO WE KNOW YOU?
We help organizations within our community. The people and groups that support us and our cause will get our support and help for their cause. If you believe in what we are doing, but aren’t a part of it, get involved. Come to an event. At the very least come say hello. We will help you if we can, once we know you.
IS YOUR ORGANIZATION SOMETHING THAT WE TRULY BELIEVE IN?
Without getting too political, it is our (objective) call whether or not we want to be associated with your organization. We tend to want a more peaceful, well thought out world. On some topics, we lean very conservative and on others we lean Liberal. This comes down to our gut instinct about what Salvagetti represents.
IS YOUR ORGANIZATION SOMETHING THAT YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN?
We want to make a difference in our community. That means that with our finite resources, we want to make the greatest impact we can. So tell us how the money we help raise will benefit our community! It needs to matter.
ARE YOU SOLICITING EVERY BIKE SHOP IN TOWN?
If you don’t know yet, we aren’t just a bike shop. Please don’t ask us to be.
RELATED TO MAKING DENVER A BETTER PLACE (FOR CYCLISTS)
This is not an absolute necessity, but at the very least: How is your event and its contribution going to make Denver a better place? That is really what we are concerned with.
TIMING
Please give us at least 30 days (and preferably 90 days) notice that you need a donation. We are a small organization and we can only help you if we have time to help you.
Several Organizations that we have supported:
- BikeDenver – they have the same mission as us
- MDPL – many of the organizations members attend our functions and ride bikes (a lot). They work to make Denver better.
- COMBA (and IMBA) – This is a no brainer, but they help make trail riding better on the Front Range.
- JustAnotherBikeRideAcrossAmerica – Brendan has been shopping with us since 2006. He also wrote about our Breakfast Ride in Momentum magazine.
- Athletes4heart – Nels supports Heart Defect research through athletics.
