You won't believe how quiet the Spot Ninja is to ride. We named it the Ninja. Spot is just calling it the Fixie, but that is boring and predictable. The Ninja is fitting, you'll see why...

This bike is a one of a kind. We acquired a fixie from Spot after Interbike. It has about 20 miles on it, so we are discounting it for Spot.

It is a 54cm bike, by the way.

Here is a breakdown of what you are getting for your money:
1. Handbuilt frame from Spot – $1600
2. Cane Creek Track Wheelset – $600 (more info)
3. Everything else – More than $100
Over all value for this bike is way more than the asking price!

Come ride the ninja. As they say “Only a Ninja can kill another Ninja.”

Taken From Rushmore

Starting out and ending (including nice track fork ends) with Reynolds 520 steel means comfort, speed and dependability.

We feel confident that if you give the Beatnik a whirl around town for even 5 minutes, it will be your bike of choice for the city. 1 speed for simplicity, bullhorn bars for comfort and style.

You don’t need no stinkin’ gears, mang. Just ride.

For people who are familiar with Jamis, you know that this bike is built so you can get a perfect fit. For those of you who aren’t yet, Jamis builds bikes around the idea that everyone has different preferences and you should be able to express those ideas, without opening up your wallet again. They have done this by not cutting down the steerer tube (the part that the stem is connected to that is not the handlebars). You can choose how high your hands are in relation to the saddle.

Stiff. Fast. Light. Choose 3.

Stiff
On a track, stiffness leads to efficiency. The harder you push, the more your eyes water from the wind whipping through them. So, you push harder, and the frame responds by transferring all that energy into even more speed. Check out that rear triangle. It is super short to make the rear end tight (and stiff as possible).

Light
Jamis picked carefully when selecting each part on the Sonik. Nothing was given up in stiffness and durability. Yet, the bike is still silly light. The complete bike is under 16 lbs. with pedals.

Fast
Going fast in a straight line is fine and all, but your bike needs to handle the corners and the steep angles that you are facing at both the new Boulder Track and the Olympic Track in Colorado Springs. The drag of the rear tire is pretty well eliminated with the wheel being so close to the seat tube. Fast frame + fast parts + fast rider = fast bike.

The 2009 Jamis Sonik should make the rest of your short list look silly.
And the price is less than $1800.

This is one of those bikes that makes people so happy. So happy, in fact, that they tell everyone about their new love of cycling. They yell it from the mountain tops (that they rode up), they yell it at the coffee shop (that they rode to faster than they could have by car).

This bike is comfortable. It is light and tough. It’s pretty to look at. And one of the best values we have seen. The truth is that riding the Coda Comp is fun and that’s what seals the deal.

After you are wowed by the ride, please make sure to check out the carbon fork and the super sturdy drivetrain. Please notice the attention to detail at the stem that allows for a great deal of adjustability without extra money.

This bike is set up to be simple on the outside, letting you ride and smile.

On the inside though, lots of cool stuff is going on:

First of all, the disc brakes are hydraulic, like cars and motorcycles utilize. This means a minimum amount of maintenance with maximum stopping power.

Secondly, the rear hub contains something comparable to a helicopter transmission. It uses a planetary gear system that stays smooth and shifts predictably in every situation. Even as a stop, the bike shifts perfectly. (You cannot do that with derailleurs).

And lastly, the paint is rubberized to help prevent abrasions from not so perfect coffee runs and rough bike racks.

We are so confident in the Giant Seek 1 that is our exclusive rental bike for the city trail system. We know we can count on the Seek to run smoothly and keep on running for a long time.

20 speeds for flying through the city? Nah.
1 speed for beating people with 20 speeds? We hope so.

And I need my bike to work! The Giant Bowery is set up without all that extra fuss that costs more money in the end. No derailleurs to break. A solid frame with track ends and no shifters to mess with. Just you and your bike, out there flying.

Speaking of flying, the bike is setup just right for Denver. You may stand up for some of the hills, but for the most part you just spin your way past everyone in sight. Fun!
