Buffalo Creek, CO
Smooth, fun and fast
Buffalo Creek has some of the most fun sections of trail we have ridden. It is not the most technical trail on the Front Range, but it is certainly one of the fastest. We have ridden this trail many times and all have our favorite sections of trail.
You can take a mountain biker here for their first trail ride or their one hundredth ride. The way the trails are set up, you can have a short 1 hour loop or a 5 hour epic day. You will love it!
GETTING THERE FROM DENVER
Take 285 West. Take a left onto 126. Park at the Ranger Station on the left. Follow South Buffalo Creek Rd. in for some of the best trails you have ever seen.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
Bring lots of water and a good snack for the trail. Also, because of the extensive burn areas, you will get more sun than usual; bring sunscreen. As far as trails go, we all agree Charlie’s Cutoff on the way down is a MUST! Everything else is fun, though.
Tires should be ready for sand if there hasn’t been much rain. (weather link)
We had great luck with the Maxxis Ardent and Minion (Rear and Front respectively).
