And The Winner of the Giant Cruiser Is…

Doni Visani!

We partnered up with Giant Bicycle (for our Fifth Birthday) to give away a bicycle. To win the bike, you wrote poems about how much you want this bike.

We really loved how much participation there was. So much that everyone is getting something (see the bottom part). It became especially difficult to be a judge after the slew of wonderful poems that came in the last few days.

There can only be one winner however, and that winning poem is:

Clasped to sinuous metal the Giant waits
For budding helmet-heads to harness its might
For jaunt on rising path; Coors to Gates,
Or errands long-postponed; a patient’s plight.
Five of Seven, unique in style and provenance
Newly joined to hive of like-minded wheels
Waiting for shy beginner or, perhaps, Lance
To go where no one goes or wherever one feels
Free staff benefit, surely. But more so than that:
To make a mere step a journey, ‘tis the Giant’s task.

To claim your prize, you will simply need to fly to New York City on July 15th, 2010 at exactly 10:38am. A man there will give you a password. Come back to Denver and whisper that password to any of the managers here at Salvagetti… Just kidding. Come in, prove you are you and tell us what size and color we can provide for you.

Congratulations Doni!

And for everyone else, you get one of our new custom Patch Kits and a water bottle. But, we want to be clear that we are doing this because you rule for putting yourselves out there. We don’t want to be like the parents who give their “nonbirthday kids” gifts on one of their kid’s birthdays. Come by and claim your prize!

  3. Doni Visani says:

Holy Cruiser, Batman! I am so thrilled to receive this honor.

Thank you to all of you at Salvagetti for putting together the contest and especially for bestowing on me the laurel for my 10-line attempt. I will visit your fine establishment sometime this week. I very much enjoyed being part of the collective that created the various and ingenious submissions.

May their Chi lead the Giant.

  4. Hernan says:

May the dark side be comfortably with you as you sit on the Giant’s long journey … Congrats!
