City & Track Bikes
Jamis Beatnik
“I don’t want alloys. I want steel. I don’t give a rat’s ass what he says. Steel, Harry.”
Taken From Rushmore
Starting out and ending (including nice track fork ends) with Reynolds 520 steel means comfort, speed and dependability.
We feel confident that if you give the Beatnik a whirl around town for even 5 minutes, it will be your bike of choice for the city. 1 speed for simplicity, bullhorn bars for comfort and style.
You don’t need no stinkin’ gears, mang. Just ride.
For people who are familiar with Jamis, you know that this bike is built so you can get a perfect fit. For those of you who aren’t yet, Jamis builds bikes around the idea that everyone has different preferences and you should be able to express those ideas, without opening up your wallet again. They have done this by not cutting down the steerer tube (the part that the stem is connected to that is not the handlebars). You can choose how high your hands are in relation to the saddle.
