While this is my first touring bike, I have ridden the few other offerings on the market, and this is BY far the best of the bunch. I use it as my daily driver and my day tripper on the weekends. I call it the Suburban because it will go anywhere and through anything, and carry a BUNCH of stuff while doing it - I don't have a SINGLE complaint. GO STEEL!

The AE by Jamis is one outstanding bike. Very strong very flexible in terms of a trng bike, a road bike, a trail bike, a touring bike...you name it it does it. The bike needs to have a more secure bolt to hold the carbon components, and a slightly lower link ofr steep hills other then that the bike is perfect in all respects. If you are going to race ...really race this is not the bike...if you are going to just do off roads all the time in rough terrain ...this is not the bike for everything else it's great...club rides, solo rides some dirt trails, touring 12 hr ride, centuries, carrying hvy loads...the bike dampens all bumps and rides very smooth ...
