This bike is set up to be simple on the outside, letting you ride and smile.
On the inside though, lots of cool stuff is going on:
First of all, the disc brakes are hydraulic, like cars and motorcycles utilize. This means a minimum amount of maintenance with maximum stopping power.
Secondly, the rear hub contains something comparable to a helicopter transmission. It uses a planetary gear system that stays smooth and shifts predictably in every situation. Even as a stop, the bike shifts perfectly. (You cannot do that with derailleurs).
And lastly, the paint is rubberized to help prevent abrasions from not so perfect coffee runs and rough bike racks.
